The Europa Clipper spacecraft is scheduled to launch in October 2024. Get an exclusive peek at the Europa Clipper spacecraft in a video tour led by Project Manager Jordan Evans. Discover the cutting-edge instruments it carries for exploring Jupiter's icy moon Europa. Scheduled to depart for NASA's Kennedy Space Center in October 2024, witness the excitement before its historic launch. Europa Clipper is NASA's next mission to the outer solar system, and you can watch it being assembled and tested in real time via webcam from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California , United States . You are currently viewing activities at JPL's High Bay 1, and the Europa Clipper's main body is visible on the left as a large aluminium cylinder. The primary body of the spaceship is 10 feet (3 metres) tall and 5 feet (1.5 metres) broad, and it incorporates the electronics, radios, thermal loop tubing, cabling, and propulsion system. On the right, you can see the metal box that serves as Europa Clipper's electronics vault, which will protect sensitive electronics from the high levels of radiation present in space near Jupiter. NASA 's Europa Clipper mission aims to conduct dozens of close flybys of Jupiter's moon Europa in order to gather accurate information about the moon's potential habitability.
