This live HD webcam shows Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, an iconic location in Hiroshima , Japan , dedicated to the victims of the 1945 atomic bomb and serving as a reminder of the importance of world peace. The moving camera pans around Hiroshima's central area, displaying the central part of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, which includes the Pond of Peace, the Hiroshima Victims Memorial Cenotaph, and the Flame of Peace. Victims' names are inscribed on the Cenotaph, and the Flame of Peace sculpture is in the shape of two hands cupping a flame in memory of those killed in the 1945 tragedy. The ruins of the Atomic Bomb Dome war memorial, the only structure in the area still standing after World War II, are also on display. Many other monuments can be seen while walking through Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, which is visited by over one million people each year.
