This live HD webcam welcomes you to the picturesque historic square " Piazza del Duomo " in the town centre of Pietrasanta, in Italy . In front stands a government building featuring an imposing clock tower “Torre delle ore”, built between 1530 and 1534 and later restored in 1706 and 1860. Past the building is the magnificent Cathedral of San Martino ( Collegiata di San Martino, Duomo di Pietrasanta ) showing a beautiful façade in white marble. It is the main church in the town, built in the 14th century and later renovated in the 17th and 19th centuries. Standing out beside the church, is the 36-metre tall bell tower seen in brickwork, although was firstly finished with marble plates. The lively piazza has a wealth of historic buildings, as well as exhibits of modern pieces of art throughout the year. From here you also have pleasant views of the landscapes of the Apuan Alps.
