The Swakopmund Jetty 1905 Restaurant live HD webcam overlooks the historic Jetty Bridge and the coastal town of Swakopmund, which also serves as the capital of Namibia 's Erongo region in southwest Africa. This jetty was built in 1904 during the German colonial period, as the once-important Swakopmund harbour became increasingly crowded with ships. Originally, the wooden jetty was 275 metres long and 9 metres wide, but it was later extended by 50 metres and widened by 5. Today, following extensive renovations, it is now an important tourist attraction and the location of the Jetty 1905 Restaurant, as shown on the map further down the page.
